I would say that if it's a boo...Great question. I would say that if it's a book-length work of creative nonfiction, such as a memoir, yes. Those first fifty pages are going to set up readers' expectations about the book, including pace. But there are different expectations for other kinds of nonfiction books, and I wouldn't try to apply the guidelines from this post to them.S.H.
